Istanbul is a large city, and no electrician network reaches all 39 districts at the same speed at midnight. This page states plainly which districts we attend 24/7 and which we work by appointment; quoting an arrival time we cannot hold helps nobody.

Asian side 24/7 emergency. European side by appointment. Arrival time is confirmed on the call.

2026 Electrician Prices and Recently Completed Jobs
The bands below are the labour ranges actually seen on recent call-outs and exclude materials. The binding figure is given in writing after on-site measurement, and no work starts without approval.
| Job | Typical price range | What is included |
|---|---|---|
| Fault diagnosis and measured survey | 750 TRY – 1,500 TRY | Diagnosis with a True-RMS clamp, megohmmeter and thermal camera; the survey fee is deducted if the repair is accepted. |
| Breaker / RCD replacement | 1,250 TRY – 3,200 TRY | A 30 mA Type A device; varies with the number of ways and whether Schneider or Siemens is specified. |
| Dedicated air conditioning circuit | 2,400 TRY – 5,500 TRY | 3x2.5 or 3x4 mm² solid copper with a C20-C25 breaker; varies with run length and trunking route. |
| Flat board renewal (modular DIN) | 6,500 TRY – 16,000 TRY | Varies with room count, circuit splitting and whether a surge arrester is included. |
| Chandelier, spot and socket installation | 650 TRY – 2,800 TRY | Priced per unit; heavy chandeliers include a steel anchor set into structural concrete. |
| Internet and Cat6 data cabling | 1,100 TRY – 4,200 TRY | Includes a Cat6 run per room, an RJ45 data outlet and verification with a cable tester. |
| Factory / power factor periodic maintenance | 4,500 TRY – 18,000 TRY | By panel and step count; includes a thermal sweep and a written measurement report. |
Prices are estimated labour ranges and exclude materials. A binding quote is issued in writing after the technician measures on site and before any work begins. Last updated: October 2026.
What happens after you call: five steps
1. The call and a first read
On the phone we ask which room went dark, whether there is a smell, and which appliance was running when it started. Those three answers decide what the technician brings in the van and save a second trip.
2. An arrival window for your area
Asian-side emergencies are taken 24/7. The European side is by appointment. The islands follow the ferry. Arrival time is confirmed on the call.
3. Measurement on site
The technician measures first: current with a True-RMS clamp, insulation resistance with a Megger and, where needed, hot spots with a thermal camera. The board cover is not opened before measurement and approval.
4. A written price and your approval
When the measurement is done the binding figure is put in writing. No work starts on any item you have not approved, and if extra work appears approval is sought again.
5. Handover, invoice and guarantee
The brand and model of materials used, the measured values and any circuits recommended for renewal go onto a signed service report. The job is invoiced and the workmanship carries a 1 year guarantee.
What if you do not accept the quote? You pay only the survey fee stated up front on the call. The measured values stay with you in writing; nothing else is added and no work begins.
BEDAŞ and AYEDAŞ: the sealed meter and everything after it
Istanbul is not one grid. Most of the European side is fed by BEDAŞ, and the Anatolian side including the islands by AYEDAŞ. The seal on the meter and the utility breaker ahead of it are not the electrician's job. When the whole building is dark, the meter is cold and the next building is dark too, the report goes to the utility. When half a flat is lit, or a socket is hot while the building is live, the fault is after the meter and it is our work.
The voltage people complain about is rarely 'weak Istanbul electricity'. In old blocks in Fatih and Beyoğlu a loose neutral on the riser heats the remaining phase. In the towers of Başakşehir and Esenyurt the air conditioner and the induction hob share one phase and the breaker opens thermally. On the islands and the Sarıyer shore, salt air enters a socket box and drops a 30 mA residual-current device. The map is a fault map, not a slogan: each district page on this site describes its own building stock, and arrival is stated without a number we cannot hold.
Dispatch runs from Pendik for the Anatolian side except the islands, and Bağcılar is the on-call district on the European side. The rest of Europe — Fatih, Şişli, Esenyurt, Silivri — is taken by appointment. A burning smell, arcing or a shock is moved forward the same day, but bridge traffic does not become a twenty-minute promise. The islands are booked onto a ferry. That sentence is what separates this map from the emergency page and from the night-duty page.
Seven things to check when choosing a reliable electrician
Our primary 24/7 emergency area is the Anatolian side (Pendik, Kartal, Maltepe, Kadıköy, Ataşehir, Ümraniye, Tuzla, Sultanbeyli, Çekmeköy, Sancaktepe, Beykoz, Üsküdar, Şile). Adalar is taken by appointment against the ferry timetable; a midnight crossing is not promised. The European side is by appointment. Arrival time is confirmed on the call. No promised minute count.
1.Ask to see the original certificate
Ask to see the Ministry of Education mastery or Vocational Qualifications certificate on site. It is not an odd request; a technician who holds one will show it, and one who does not will change the subject.
2.Does he have instruments, and does he use them
A fault is found by measurement, not guesswork. Someone arriving without a True-RMS clamp meter, an insulation tester (Megger) and an earth resistance tester will swap the breaker and leave; the fault returns a week later.
3.When does he put the price in writing
Anyone giving a firm figure on the phone has promised without seeing the board, and that figure changes on arrival. The right order is: the published band on the phone, the binding figure after measurement and in writing before work starts.
4.What happens to the survey fee
A survey is instrumented work and carries a fee. The question to ask is: if I award the repair, is the fee deducted, and if I decline, what do I pay? Get both answers up front.
5.Does he issue an invoice
Uninvoiced work removes the basis of any guarantee claim. A technician who does not invoice owes you nothing when the same socket burns six months later.
6.Which materials does he fit
Ask for the brand and model and have it written on the service report. Copper-clad aluminium (CCA) cable and uncertified breakers look cheap on day one and come back as heating in year three.
7.Is the arrival time a promise or a window
A fixed number of minutes cannot be held in traffic. A network that quotes a published window per area is more reliable than one guaranteeing 20 minutes; when the second one misses, nobody is there to discuss it.
Frequently asked questions
Which districts do you reach 24/7 for emergencies?
Our primary 24/7 emergency area is the Anatolian side (Pendik, Kartal, Maltepe, Kadıköy, Ataşehir, Ümraniye, Tuzla, Sultanbeyli, Çekmeköy, Sancaktepe, Beykoz, Üsküdar, Şile). Adalar is taken by appointment against the ferry timetable; a midnight crossing is not promised. The European side is by appointment. Arrival time is confirmed on the call. No promised minute count. A MYK-certified master electrician. The job runs on the founder's expert line. There is no twenty-van fleet.
Do you come to the European side?
We take corporate, industrial and planned maintenance calls by appointment, and we have a written hub and a resident partner crew in Bağcılar. We do not promise a middle-of-the-night emergency call-out, because quoting a time we cannot hold in bridge traffic helps nobody.
What do electrician prices cost in Istanbul?
The bands published in the table on this page are the labour ranges actually seen on recent call-outs and exclude materials. The binding figure is given in writing after on-site measurement and before work begins.
Does the tariff change at night and on holidays?
Yes. Outside working hours, at night and on public holidays the labour tariff differs, and that difference is stated on the phone when the call is opened rather than added as a surprise on site.
