An electrician in Sarıyer goes to two different building stocks, and the van leaves with two different material stocks. On the Tarabya and İstinye shore the Bosphorus salt and the morning damp green the board bar, and a balcony socket trips the 30 mA device. In the older flats of Sarıyer centre and the Çayırbaşı side there is no salt. There an NYA tail heats, the socket cover yellows, and an earth conductor was never pulled. In the forest villas of Zekeriyaköy the fault sits somewhere else: the long NYY from the house to the garden gate blacks the house out inside a wet joint box. Shore salt and an inland villa run are not the same terminal. The shore stock holds stainless clamps, gasketed glands and a short earth link. The inland stock holds an NYY drum, a gel joint and a separate device for the garden way. The two are split before the appointment, because a second round is not turned into a minute sentence. The sealed meter belongs to BEDAŞ. The bar after the meter, the flat board and the garden tail are our measurement. No minute is promised in Sarıyer. The shore road is not tied to an hour figure. The call is written in the appointment book.

The basement board of a Tarabya waterfront house and the balcony side of a flat on the İstinye shore see the same water in the morning. Air off the Bosphorus sweats inside a cover that cooled overnight. The sweat leaves a green ring on the bar screw. When the ring dries, resistance rises. When it dampens, the 30 mA residual-current device trips. The caller ties this to a storm. A calm misty morning is enough. The first job is not bridging the device. The balcony socket and the bathroom extractor are separated one at a time. The balcony circuit goes onto its own 30 mA Type A unit. The green screw comes out, the oxidised copper is cut, and a stainless clamp and a gasketed gland go on. The run between the bar and the clamp is kept short. A long curled earth does not hide a leak. It only misleads the reading. The reading is written: phase-to-neutral, phase-to-earth, neutral-to-earth. If neutral-to-earth voltage is high, the hunt is a loose neutral, not shore damp. This shore is the side after the BEDAŞ sealed meter. We do not open the seal. If the meter cover is warm and the neighbour is dark too, the report belongs to the distribution company.
In a shore flat the air conditioner has often been added onto the old 16 ampere way beside the balcony door. When morning damp trips the device, the caller blames the air conditioner. The clamp is written once with the compressor running and once with it off. The difference separates a damp leak from motor current. If the conductor is 1.5 mm² it does not go above 16 amperes. If the section is short the cable changes, and the ampere label is not raised. If the balcony socket cover is broken and has no gasket, the socket changes. The new socket is not a body left with its cover open in salt air. The material for this job is in the shore stock: a stainless clamp, a gasketed gland, a 30 mA Type A, a short bar link. Zekeriyaköy's long drum is not carried into this basement. If it is carried, the wrong stock does not cover the right fault. The crowd on the shore road does not turn the appointment into a minute sentence. A burning smell or a shock is moved forward in the book. Moving it forward is not quoting a time already spent on the road.
In the 1960-1980 flats of Sarıyer centre and Çayırbaşı there is a Bosphorus smell and there is no Bosphorus corrosion. The board is indoors, the bar is not green, and the socket cover is yellow. The yellow is not a salt film. It is the heat of a loose NYA tail. A hot screw loosens, a loose screw arcs, and the arc carbonises the Bakelite. An electric heater has often been added onto the lighting way. In the evening, when the heater and the kettle share that way, the terminal heats. The first job is not a new cover. The circuit is made dead, the box is opened, the carbonised NYA tail is cut back, and the remaining copper is read under load with a True-RMS clamp. A two-wire circuit has no earth. If a washing-machine body was bonded to a water pipe, the pipe is not counted as an earth. If there is a shock, the plug comes out. If there is no 30 mA Type A, the board work moves forward. Where insulation has crumbled, that way goes into halogen-free trunking. The wall is opened for the heating box, not for a neighbour shop window. A ground-floor wholesaler story is not hunted here.
The material for a centre flat is neither the stainless clamp of the shore stock nor the long drum of the villa stock. A box tail, halogen-free trunking and a 30 mA Type A are enough. They already sit in the van and are not inflated into a third stock. The gasketed gland of a shore flat is not sold to this caller. If it is sold, the wrong part enters a box that has no salt, and the heating screw remains. If the riser is loose, the manager is given a note of which floor's phase drew how many amperes. The riser belongs to the building. The seal is BEDAŞ. On the same paper the centre fault and the Tarabya fault are not placed side by side as if they were one. One is a yellow cover and an NYA tail. The other is a green bar and a balcony socket. The appointment sets that split on the phone. A minute does not close the split.

In a Zekeriyaköy villa the board is inside the house, and the fault often starts at the socket by the garden gate. The gate operator, the garden lighting and sometimes the pool supply sit on the end of the same long NYY. The run goes tens of metres in forest soil. The joint box holds leaves and water. Water drops the insulation of the joint. If the garden way is behind the house 30 mA device, a wet joint blacks out the whole house. Even if the living-room socket is sound, the device does not distinguish the garden. The first job is to separate the garden way. If the house then holds and the gate does not, the fault is not in the villa kitchen. It is in the joint of the run. The joint box is opened, the water is emptied, the swollen tail is cut, and the NYY is closed again with a gel joint or a gasketed box. NYM does not enter this soil. NYM is a dry ceiling cable. Voltage at the end of a long run is measured with the load on. A line that holds with no load can collapse when the gate motor starts. The collapse is not written as a brand fault. The section and the joint resistance are written.
Forest soil is not shore sand. The rod here goes into a darker ground under the leaves. It is still not closed as 'the rod is there'. Resistance is measured from the bar and written. If it is high, a second rod is driven at the spacing the reading asks for, not merely beside the garden joint box. The villa body is not bonded to a water pipe. The garden way goes onto its own 30 mA Type A device. A wet joint then does not drop the bedroom. The inrush of the gate motor is read with the clamp. If the cable is 1.5 mm² the motor is not left on that way. This is the inland stock: an NYY drum, a gel joint, a separate device, a rod. The stainless gland of the shore stock is not the main part in this forest. The main part is the water in the joint box. The two stocks are split before the appointment. A shore box is not loaded for a Zekeriyaköy call, and a garden drum is not loaded for a Tarabya call. The wrong load creates a second trip. The second trip is not closed with a promised minute.
A Sarıyer appointment chooses on the phone which stock the van will leave with. For Tarabya and İstinye the note is a stainless clamp, a gasketed gland and a short earth link. For Zekeriyaköy the note is an NYY drum, a gel joint and a garden device. For a centre flat the note is a box tail and halogen-free trunking, and a third stock is not opened. If the choice is wrong, the technician hunts a gel joint on the shore or a salt clamp in the villa. Both stretch the fault. The stretch is not closed by tying a minute to the shore road. A burning smell or a shock is moved to the front of the book. Moving it forward is not quoting a time that cannot be held in Bosphorus traffic. Before setting off, the technician says on the phone if a part outside the chosen stock is needed. An unsaid part is not grown into a survey at the door. The BEDAŞ seal sits outside that conversation. If the seal is already broken, or the meter side is hot, the report goes to the company and the board after the meter stays with us.
The 2026 labour band is the same on both stocks. Materials sit outside the band. A stainless clamp and an NYY metre are written when they are measured. They are not invented by burying them inside the band. The ranges are these: fault finding 750-1,500 TL, a breaker or residual-current device 1,250-3,200 TL, a socket or light 650-2,800 TL, an air-conditioning circuit 2,400-5,500 TL, a flat or villa board 6,500-16,000 TL. The survey fee comes off the job if the repair is accepted. The binding figure is written after measurement and before work starts. Workmanship is guaranteed for one year. That year does not contain a clause that shortens the shore road. A minute figure is not inside the price. A shore clamp and a forest joint stand side by side in the same guarantee, not as the same fault, but as the same workmanship term.
Bosphorus damp sweats inside a board cover that cooled overnight and leaves a green ring on the bar screw. When the ring dampens, the 30 mA device trips. A storm is not required. The device is not bridged. The balcony circuit goes onto its own 30 mA Type A unit, the oxidised copper is cut, and a stainless clamp goes on. If there is an air conditioner, the clamp is written separately with the compressor on and off. A damp leak and motor current are not mixed.
The joint box in forest soil holds water. If the garden way sits behind the house's single 30 mA device, a wet joint blacks out the whole villa. The run is separated and put on its own 30 mA Type A unit. The swollen tail is cut and the NYY is closed with a gel joint or a gasketed box. NYM does not enter the soil. Voltage at the end is measured with the load on. The gate motor is not left on a 1.5 mm² run.
Not the colour of the cover. The NYA tail is measured. The circuit is made dead, the carbonised tail is cut, and the remaining copper is read under load with a True-RMS clamp. A two-wire circuit has no earth. A water pipe is not counted as an earth. If there is a shock the plug comes out, and if there is no 30 mA Type A the board moves forward. This fault is not Tarabya's green bar. A salt clamp is not sold here.
The shore road and two separate stocks leave no minute that can be held. The call is written in the appointment book. Which stock the van leaves with is chosen on the phone. A burning smell or a shock is moved forward in the book. Moving it forward is not quoting a time. The BEDAŞ seal is not opened. The work after the meter is done with the stock written before setting off.
The labour band does not change. The material changes and sits outside the band. Finding a fault is 750-1,500 TL, a device or breaker 1,250-3,200 TL, a socket 650-2,800 TL, an air-conditioning circuit 2,400-5,500 TL, a board 6,500-16,000 TL. A stainless clamp and the NYY metre are written when measured. The firm figure is set after measurement and before work starts. Workmanship is one year. A minute is not inside that figure.
Sarıyer on the European side is worked by appointment. A burning smell, arcing or a shock is moved ahead the same day; no minute is promised, because a time that cannot be held in bridge traffic helps nobody. A night or holiday difference is stated on the phone before departure.

A loose screw connection has carbonised the terminal. Take that outlet out of service at once; the point is found with a thermal camera without opening the wall.
Diagnosis sits in the 750–1,500 TL band. The job line is written from the 2026 table after measurement.
Fix and price
Branches are separated one by one at the board and the device reset; if it holds the fault is in the wiring, if not it is the device. The faulty leg is confirmed with a megohmmeter.
Diagnosis sits in the 750–1,500 TL band. The job line is written from the 2026 table after measurement.
Fix and price
If the building is dark, the record belongs to 186. If only the flat is dark, the fault is after the meter: one phase is missing or the neutral has broken. On neutral loss one phase climbs above 250 volts and another falls to 180.
Diagnosis sits in the 750–1,500 TL band. The job line is written from the 2026 table after measurement.
Fix and price
Inrush exceeds the existing circuit. The fix is not a bigger breaker but a dedicated run from the board with a motor characteristic device.
Diagnosis sits in the 750–1,500 TL band. The job line is written from the 2026 table after measurement.
Fix and price
The chandelier is fixed to the existing box and a load-rated hook. If the hook is not anchored in the slab, it is not hung. Live, neutral and earth are confirmed separately; the body is never put on phase.
Diagnosis sits in the 750–1,500 TL band. The job line is written from the 2026 table after measurement.
Fix and price
There is no protective earth and the neutral is bridged to the earth terminal in the socket. This is a lethal risk; stop using the appliance immediately.
Diagnosis sits in the 750–1,500 TL band. The job line is written from the 2026 table after measurement.
Fix and priceOn Sarıyer call-outs the team follows the sequence below. No arrival minute is promised. The technician's name is given on the phone before anyone sets off.
The bands below are the labour ranges actually seen on recent call-outs and exclude materials. The binding figure is given in writing after on-site measurement, and no work starts without approval.

Prices are estimated labour ranges and exclude materials. A binding quote is issued in writing after the technician measures on site and before any work begins. Last updated: October 2026.
Whatever we are called out for, before leaving we measure your board at five points and leave the result in writing. It is the cheapest way to see a developing fault before it stops anything.
All breaker and terminal temperatures under load with a FLIR thermal imager; every point above seventy degrees is recorded.
The 30 mA residual current device trip time measured in milliseconds with a dedicated tester.
Voltage between neutral and earth; more than a few volts indicates a loose neutral or a bootleg ground.
Earth resistance read with a digital earth tester and assessed against the 2 Ohm target.
Breaker ratings against conductor size; anything above a C16 on a 1.5 mm² run leaves the cable unprotected.
Fully stocked mobile vans: every vehicle carries Schneider and Siemens breakers, 30 mA Type A devices, surge arresters, solid copper cable drums and junction box sets, so most jobs finish on the same visit.
Service covers the neighborhoods of Istanbul's 39 districts. Not the whole of Turkey. A survey is not a binding quote.
