A Beşiktaş electrician's note goes to the wrong floor if it is written as one building type. The riser in a 1960 or 1970 block by the market square is tired, and the ground floor holds a fishmonger, a tea hearth and a small counter. On the Ortaköy and Bebek shore the fault sits somewhere else: the socket box darkens in salt air, the gasket lets water in, and evening damp drops a 30 mA residual-current device. Toward Etiler and Levent the glass tower is new, but 1960s and 1970s blocks still stand on the steep streets. The call that was booked as a tower board can turn out to be the rewirable fuseboard of the older block in the side garden. A trip on the shore is not always a failed appliance. Salt carries the insulation inside the box over the threshold. In the market the same device trips from a wet counter motor or from a tired NYA joint. The two papers are written apart. The sealed meter belongs to BEDAŞ. The riser, the boxes and the flat board after the meter are our work. We do not open the seal. No minute is placed on a Beşiktaş appointment. A burning smell or a shock is moved forward the same day. A queue at the bridge landing is not written as an arrival time.

By the Beşiktaş market the ground-floor load is not a night bar. The morning tea hearth, the midday motor of the fish counter and the evening window lamp sit on the same old riser. The riser is a 1960 or 1970 section and it spreads to the flats in NYA. The counter is wet. The motor chassis becomes conductive from spray. A two-wire socket has no earth, and if the chassis is clamped to a water pipe a shock follows. A water pipe is not counted as earth. The plug comes out, and the chassis is written by measurement, not by a dry cloth. If there is no 30 mA Type A residual-current device, the market board is taken in hand before a window bulb. The device is not bridged so the counter keeps running. A bridge leaves the leak of a wet motor on the chassis. Lines are read one by one with a 500 V megohmmeter. The motor and the cooler leave their plugs so the test voltage does not reach a board. A branch under one megaohm is not landed on a Schneider or Siemens DIN breaker until it is renewed. If a rewirable board is still there, the floor of each fuse is written down, and the thick wire is not kept as a spare. A 1.5 mm² conductor does not go above 16 amperes. The counter motor is not added onto the flat's lighting way.
The box on the market stair has stayed warm for years from counter steam. Bakelite blackens, the screw loosens, and the neutral thins on the shared bar. When the lower motor starts, the lamp in the upper flat flares at once. The reading is written at the flat intake under load: phase-to-neutral, phase-to-earth, neutral-to-earth. If phase-to-neutral has climbed above 180 volts, the plugs come out. The riser screw is chosen with the manager, because the line is the building's common property. The side before the seal is the BEDAŞ line. The side after the seal is ours to tighten. We do not open the seal. If the meter cover is hot and the seal is intact, the company is called and the flat board stays on a separate line. The same paper records which floor's phase drew how many amperes, taken with a True-RMS clamp. An averaging clamp shows the counter motor's distorted wave as smaller than it is. That is why the market reading is taken with True-RMS. The manager's note is also left at the door so the neighbouring flat does not see the same flare the next day. The note contains no promise to raise the ampere rating.
In Ortaköy and Bebek salt gathers on the screw of the socket box that faces the water. Copper turns green, the screw holds a white dust, and the gasket hardens and gaps. When evening damp enters, the leakage crosses the threshold of a 30 mA Type A device. The living room can be dry while one box is wet. The first job is therefore not a renewal of the whole flat. The device is not bridged and it is not changed for a 100 mA or 300 mA unit. Personal protection stays at 30 mA. The lines are separated. Plugs are pulled from the box that faces the shore and that box is read alone with a 500 V megohmmeter. Appliances, especially an inverter air-conditioner board, are disconnected before the test. If that box's insulation is low and the indoor sockets are sound, only that box and the short NYA tail are renewed. Green copper is cut back and the new tail enters fully. The box cover is closed only if it will actually close. Salt fills again the inside of a cover that does not. A short repair on the inner wall is in halogen-free trunking. Trunking is not left open to salt rain on the face that looks at the sea. That short outer tail enters in NYY and with a gland if it must.
On the shore the small leakages of several boxes add up, and the device trips even when no single appliance has failed. A True-RMS clamp separates which way is drawing current. The megohmmeter separates which way has lost insulation. Both go on the same paper. An inverter air conditioner stays with a Type A device on pulsed leakage, because the residual of this load carries a direct component. The threshold is not raised to silence the device. On the Bebek slope the board on the landing can be dry while the socket facing the water is wet. Changing the dry board does not heal the wet box. The box comes first, and the board only if it is still needed. A steep stair also lets the NYA that runs to a salted box creep out under its own weight. A crept tail is cut back. The manager is told which facade and which floor the box belongs to. The sealed meter is not touched. If the voltage ahead of the meter is low, that line goes to BEDAŞ. The green screw after the meter is our work. If there is a burning smell or a shock, the shore flat is moved to the front of the same day. A device that trips from damp is opened on the appointment day if there is no smell, and it is not left bridged.

On an Etiler or Levent call the year of the building is asked. The shaft of a glass tower is not confused with the stair board of the 1960 or 1970 block beside it. In the tower the branches may already be separated and an earth may already be pulled. In the older block a two-wire NYA socket, a small neutral bar and the mark of a rewirable fuse remain. Sticking one tariff on the two doors of the same street spoils the measurement. If the visit is to the older block, the board is read on site, not from a photograph. Which way feeds the cooker and which way feeds the air conditioner is written down. If there is no earth, the washer chassis shocks. The earth is pulled separately inside halogen-free trunking and is not bonded to a heating pipe. If the board is to change, a 30 mA Type A device and Schneider or Siemens DIN breakers of a suitable breaking capacity go in together. If the old line is under one megaohm on the megohmmeter, the new breaker does not feed rotten insulation. In a new tower the fault is usually a single flat way. The tower's main shaft, if it is ahead of the sealed meter, is a BEDAŞ and management report. Our work is the flat board after the meter. The papers of the two buildings are not merged.
On a steep street the upper floor dims when the cooker on a lower floor starts. The run is long, and if the section is thin the voltage falls. The reading is written not only at the intake board but in the highest flat, while the lower floor is under load. If the drop is on the riser after the meter, it belongs to the building and it is noted to the manager together with the conductor section. If the drop is ahead of the sealed meter, the line goes to BEDAŞ. The upper floor is not brightened by raising the breaker rating. A 1.5 mm² line stays at 16 amperes, and if that is not enough the conductor changes. The slope is not treated as a straight shaft when Cat6 is to be pulled either. Data for an office or a home is not tied onto the socket line. Cat6 runs in halogen-free trunking, apart from the power line, and the ends are proved with a cable tester. They are not left because a picture appeared. In an older block on the Levent ridge the lighting pair is not made into a camera supply. The camera adaptor comes from its own fuse. If a short supply that goes outside will get wet, NYY is used. NYY is not a data cable. A steep stair also leaves a trunking cover half shut. Workmanship is not counted closed until the cover closes.
The 2026 bands are labour excluding materials, and in Beşiktaş they move on site. Fault finding sits in the 750-1,500 TL band. A True-RMS reading in the market with the counter on and off, and a box-by-box 500 V megohmmeter test on the shore, sit inside that band. A breaker or residual-current device sits in the 1,250-3,200 TL band. A 30 mA Type A unit and a Schneider or Siemens DIN breaker enter that band. A device that raises the threshold is not written into the band, because that job is not done. A socket or a light sits in the 650-2,800 TL band. One salted shore box and the wiring of a whole flat are not the same item. An air-conditioning circuit sits in the 2,400-5,500 TL band. An inverter air conditioner is not added onto an old 16 ampere way. A flat board sits in the 6,500-16,000 TL band. A rewirable board in the market and a single-way fault in Etiler are not forced into the same board band. A small job is written to the small band, and a board change to the board band. The survey fee comes off the job if the repair is accepted. The binding figure is written after measurement and before work starts. Workmanship is guaranteed for one year. NYA, NYY, halogen-free trunking and Cat6 sit outside as materials.
A Beşiktaş call is written in the appointment book. A burning smell, arcing or a shock is moved to the front of the same day. If there is no smell and no shock, a device that trips from damp, or a dim upper floor, stays on the appointment day that was named. A queue at the bridge landing does not enter this book as a minute figure. The technician states any tariff difference on the phone before setting off. The book records the year of the building, whether it is the market, the shore, or an Etiler or Levent block, whether the meter seal is still there, and whether the device is bridged. If a bridged device is found, the appointment is written to remove the bridge and measure, and the bridge is not left in place. When the job ends, the paper keeps the test button, which box was renewed, and the neutral-to-earth reading. The one-year workmanship guarantee belongs to the job on that paper. The length of the guarantee does not change with bridge traffic. If the bell transformer is hot, the bell circuit leaves the socket circuit. A camera is not piled onto the entry phone's thin pair either. A change of the whole building board is not promised on an unfinished measurement.
The tea hearth, the fish-counter motor and the window have been parked on a 1960 or 1970 riser. Steam keeps the box warm and the screw loosens. A new cover is not enough. The load is read with a True-RMS clamp with the counter on and off. A 1.5 mm² line does not go above 16 amperes. The motor is not added onto the flat's lighting way. The side after the seal is tightened, and the seal is not opened.
Salt and damp work into the socket box that faces the water. The small leakages of several boxes cross the 30 mA threshold. The device is not bridged and the threshold is not made 100 or 300 mA. The shore box is read alone with a 500 V megohmmeter. The low box is renewed and sound indoor sockets are not stripped out. For an inverter air conditioner the Type A unit stays.
No. The glass tower may be new, and the 1960 or 1970 block on the steep street is still there. The year is asked and the board is read on site. If the older block has two-wire NYA and a small neutral bar, the earth is pulled in halogen-free trunking and is not bonded to a pipe. The tower shaft ahead of the meter is a BEDAŞ and management report. The flat board is after the meter.
The sealed meter belongs to BEDAŞ. We do not open the seal. Low voltage ahead of the meter is a company report. A loose riser after the meter, a green shore screw and the flat board are our measurement. If the cover is hot and the seal is intact, the company is called and the board work stays on its own line the same day.
The published figure is labour excluding materials. Finding a fault is 750-1,500 TL, a breaker or device 1,250-3,200 TL, a socket or lamp 650-2,800 TL, an air-conditioning circuit 2,400-5,500 TL, a flat board 6,500-16,000 TL. The binding figure is written after measurement. Workmanship is guaranteed for one year. A promised minute is not inside the band. Traffic at the bridge landing does not change the band.
Beşiktaş on the European side is worked by appointment. A burning smell, arcing or a shock is moved ahead the same day; no minute is promised, because a time that cannot be held in bridge traffic helps nobody. A night or holiday difference is stated on the phone before departure.

A loose screw connection has carbonised the terminal. Take that outlet out of service at once; the point is found with a thermal camera without opening the wall.
Diagnosis sits in the 750–1,500 TL band. The job line is written from the 2026 table after measurement.
Fix and price
Branches are separated one by one at the board and the device reset; if it holds the fault is in the wiring, if not it is the device. The faulty leg is confirmed with a megohmmeter.
Diagnosis sits in the 750–1,500 TL band. The job line is written from the 2026 table after measurement.
Fix and price
If the building is dark, the record belongs to 186. If only the flat is dark, the fault is after the meter: one phase is missing or the neutral has broken. On neutral loss one phase climbs above 250 volts and another falls to 180.
Diagnosis sits in the 750–1,500 TL band. The job line is written from the 2026 table after measurement.
Fix and price
Inrush exceeds the existing circuit. The fix is not a bigger breaker but a dedicated run from the board with a motor characteristic device.
Diagnosis sits in the 750–1,500 TL band. The job line is written from the 2026 table after measurement.
Fix and price
The chandelier is fixed to the existing box and a load-rated hook. If the hook is not anchored in the slab, it is not hung. Live, neutral and earth are confirmed separately; the body is never put on phase.
Diagnosis sits in the 750–1,500 TL band. The job line is written from the 2026 table after measurement.
Fix and price
There is no protective earth and the neutral is bridged to the earth terminal in the socket. This is a lethal risk; stop using the appliance immediately.
Diagnosis sits in the 750–1,500 TL band. The job line is written from the 2026 table after measurement.

Prices are estimated labour ranges and exclude materials. A binding quote is issued in writing after the technician measures on site and before any work begins. Last updated: October 2026.
Whatever we are called out for, before leaving we measure your board at five points and leave the result in writing. It is the cheapest way to see a developing fault before it stops anything.
All breaker and terminal temperatures under load with a FLIR thermal imager; every point above seventy degrees is recorded.
The 30 mA residual current device trip time measured in milliseconds with a dedicated tester.
Voltage between neutral and earth; more than a few volts indicates a loose neutral or a bootleg ground.
Earth resistance read with a digital earth tester and assessed against the 2 Ohm target.
Breaker ratings against conductor size; anything above a C16 on a 1.5 mm² run leaves the cable unprotected.
Fully stocked mobile vans: every vehicle carries Schneider and Siemens breakers, 30 mA Type A devices, surge arresters, solid copper cable drums and junction box sets, so most jobs finish on the same visit.
Service covers the neighborhoods of Istanbul's 39 districts. Not the whole of Turkey. A survey is not a binding quote.
