Ertuğrul Gazi, Pendik

Ertuğrul Gazi is complex and cooperative stock on Pendik's inner slopes, with significant changes in level. That elevation lengthens the riser; as the distance from the meter panel to the top flat grows, voltage sags at the far end and evening boiler ignition problems and LED flicker begin. This is not a lamp or boiler fault but a voltage drop problem, easily proven by measurement.

Our crew measures voltage under load at the riser head and at the top flat intake, then calculates percentage drop from run length and cross-section. In the complex's common areas, when the stair timer, car park lighting and booster pump share one leg that leg saturates; the pump needs 16 A motor protection and a household Type B breaker will not carry it. Common area loads are split onto separate legs, carbonised terminals renewed and every connection torqued to specification.

If breakers trip in Ertuğrul Gazi when the air conditioners start on a summer evening, the first job is measuring inrush with a clamp meter. In most flats the units hang off a socket circuit and peak at thirty-five to forty amperes on start-up; the existing C16 breaker sees that surge thermally and opens. Enlarging the breaker is not the answer, because it leaves the 2.5 mm² cable unprotected and raises the fire risk.

The correct installation runs a dedicated circuit from the board to the outdoor unit: 3x2.5 or 3x4 mm² according to power, a C20 or C25 motor characteristic breaker and its own residual current device. In multi-split flats like those in Ertuğrul Gazi, all three phase currents and the neutral are read separately and loads redistributed across the busbar, because air conditioning clustered on one phase heats the neutral terminal to around one hundred and sixty degrees. The interconnecting cable is specified screened and the condensate line is never routed below a socket.

In Ertuğrul Gazi, heavy crystal and architectural luminaires are often hung from an old plaster plug or the junction box hook in the ceiling. Even if that fixing carries the static load it loosens under vibration and risks falling; before installation the ceiling structure is checked and a heavy-duty steel expansion anchor set into structural concrete. On plasterboard the load is never taken by the board itself but transferred to the carrying profile or the slab above.

LED spot drivers and dimmer modules buried in unventilated ceiling voids overheat, burn out and give off a scorched odour. They are relocated to an accessible ventilated recess and replaced with original, surge-protected drivers. In Ertuğrul Gazi installations with no neutral at the switch box, fitting a smart switch makes LED lamps glow faintly while off because of ghost current; the lasting fix is pulling a neutral from the nearest junction box, as a bypass capacitor is only a temporary patch.
